Securex Wheel Fastener has 3 to 5 times more clamping force than conventional ball-seat fasteners, meaning longer wheel life, reduced maintenance and greater safety. The Securex nut is made of through-hardened carbon steel and each free spinning washer is made of through-hardened and tempered chrome-moly steel. This design generates a bearing-type action which allows more of the torque to be transmitted into clamping force. At the same time, this bearing action offers a more precise torque-to-clamp force relationship, allowing the entire fastening system to be used at the optimum end of the load range.
