Coats MAXX50 Air-Operated Table Top Tire Changer

The Coats MAXX50 (item # 080MAXX50-A) is an air-powered, table-top rim-clamp tire changer for alloy and steel car and light truck wheels. It handles rim diameters from 6" to 24", rim widths up to 16", and tire diameters up to 50". Four air-cylinder-operated clamps hold the wheel. A bead loosener up to 22" wide breaks beads on wide assemblies.

The MAXX50 is part of the Coats Maxx line, which replaces Coats' earlier X-Series changers. Coats has tested the Maxx bead breaker to 250,000 cycles. Techs don't need to index the tabletop when working on large assemblies, so they press the pedal less often. The tower holds 5.4 gallons of air for bead seating, which helps seal difficult tire and wheel assemblies. The machine can be upgraded in the field as a shop's needs change.

This is the air-motor version of the MAXX50. It runs on shop air from 110 to 175 psi and has an air drive rated at up to 4 HP. Shops that want an electric drive can choose the 110V model, item # 080MAXX50-110.
