Retain and grow revenue across Florida, Georgia and Alabama while building a high-performing team of Account Managers. This is a player-coach role: you lead from the front on cold calling and new business, and you train and coach your team to do the same. You will be as comfortable closing in the field as you are analyzing data and building strategy in the office.

Team leadership and development

  • Recruit, hire, onboard and manage outside Account Managers across the region.
  • Train the team on product knowledge and consultative sales technique.
  • Coach through joint sales calls, ride-alongs and regular one-on-one pipeline reviews.
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team to individual and regional revenue goals.
  • Act decisively on personnel matters when performance or conduct warrants it.
  • Contribute to internal sales training and share best practices across the organization.

New business development

  • Prospect and cold call yourself, modeling the behavior expected of the team.
  • Identify, target and develop new accounts, opening new territories as opportunities arise.
  • Present to key customers independently and alongside company representatives.
  • Help identify, evaluate and onboard new products and vendor partnerships.

Account retention and growth

  • Develop and execute upsell, cross-sell and share-of-wallet strategies across the region.
  • Run regular business reviews with key accounts using real performance data.
  • Cover territories directly during vacancies or periods of high demand.
  • Procure the materials and resources key account programs need.

Strategy, reporting and operations

  • Report on volume, pipeline, opportunities and proposed account base expansion.
  • Review market analyses for customer needs, competitive pricing and discount structures.
  • Help develop marketing strategies, company programs and sales goals.
  • Monitor competitor activity and products, and brief the Director of Sales.
  • Represent Rubber Inc at customer meetings, industry trade shows and company events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for all team activity, opportunities and accounts.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B field sales with a demonstrated record of closing and growing accounts.
  • 5+ years of sales management, including hiring and developing outside sales teams.
  • Proven ability to lead from the front, prospecting and selling alongside the team.
  • Automotive tire aftermarket experience, or a closely related distribution channel.
  • 3+ years of budget control and sales forecasting.
  • Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency.
  • Strong presentation skills in front of ownership groups, buying groups and large audiences.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred.

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight and multi-day trips.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary plus annual performance bonus.
  • Company car program.
  • Travel and entertainment expense reimbursement.
  • Health, dental and vision insurance.
