Coats MAXX70 Air Operated Table Top Tire Changer

The Coats MAXX70 Air Operated Table Top Tire Changer (item # 080MAXX70-A) is an air-powered rim-clamp tire changer. It works on alloy and steel wheels for passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, and medium-duty trucks. Out of the box, it handles rim diameters from 6" to 24", rim widths up to 16", and tire diameters up to 50". Optional extended clamps raise rim capacity to 30". Four air-cylinder-operated clamps hold the wheel. A hand-operated bead loosener up to 22" wide breaks beads on wide assemblies.

The MAXX70 comes with the Coats Robo-Arm helper device. The Robo-Arm pushes the tire bead into the drop center of the wheel to assist mounting and demounting. A dual-nozzle bead sealing system aims two nozzles at the bead and rim, and the tower holds 5.4 gallons of bead-seating air for sealing difficult assemblies. Coats tested the Maxx series to 250,000 cycles. The MAXX70 is designed and built in Nashville, Tennessee.

The MAXX70 is the entry model of Coats' Maxx 70/80/90 line. Shops can add features from the higher Maxx models later through a service call to the Coats Service Network.

This is the air-motor version of the MAXX70. It runs on a 110–175 psi air supply at 15 scfm.
