Hunter Revolution TCRH WalkAway™ Tire Changer

The Hunter Revolution TCRH is the fourth-generation Revolution™ tire changer. It's a fully automatic, hydraulic, leverless center-clamp machine that uses the same procedure for every tire and wheel. Its WalkAway™ mode lets the operator step away while the machine breaks beads and demounts tires 2 through 4 in a set. It also has a built-in wheel lift, powered press arms, automatic TPMS protection, and HunterNet® connectivity.

WalkAway™ operation. The TCRH performs an 80-second unattended bead breaking and demounting process. A status lamp shows when the machine is running (steady green), when its tasks are complete (flashing green), and when the operator is needed (steady red). According to Hunter:

• WalkAway™ cuts time spent changing a tire by 57%.
• Pairing WalkAway™ with wheel balancing can save 25% or more on a four-tire mount-and-balance job.

Automatic, consistent procedure. The TCRH uses the same steps for every tire and wheel, so it doesn't depend on operator experience. Hunter counts 4 critical decisions for the operator, compared with 17 on a conventional tire changer:

1. Select the clamp size.
2. Set the TPMS sensor and rim diameter.
3. Use the press arms as needed.
4. Set the inflation pressure.

A "Go" pedal controls operation: press it to make a selection, and hold it to advance the procedure.

Patented leverless tool head. The TCRH demounts without levers, which prevents damage to the tire and rim. A demounting hook deploys automatically to catch and lift the bead, and it always avoids the TPMS sensor. The mount head works with clad, raised-spoke, and other unique wheel designs.

Automatic TPMS protection. Once the operator sets the diameter and positions the valve stem, the TCRH tracks the sensor during mounting and demounting. It won't mount or demount a tire when the TPMS sensor is in an unsafe position.

Damage-free bead loosening. Upper and lower bead loosening rollers work on a wide variety of tires, including stuck soft-sidewall tires, with no risk of TPMS or rim damage.

Powered press arms. The patented press arms adjust automatically and can be used only when needed or set up to run every time. They power clockwise to prevent the tire from slipping and can mount virtually any tire.

Hydraulic center clamping. A hydraulic clamp holds the wheel securely, and the center-clamp design avoids clamping damage. A three-position cone handles a wide variety of wheels. Each tool can move quickly or slowly into position and hold there as needed. The hydraulic system has a filter for long, durable service life.

Built-in wheel lift. The spindle lifts the tire directly into position, so the operator doesn't have to lift heavy assemblies. Building the lift in also reduces the machine's overall footprint.

Automatic inflation station. The inflation station fills the tire to the set pressure automatically, so the operator can stand back or walk away. Hunter says it's 33% faster than traditional foot-pedal inflation. Blast inflation delivers a large burst of air for tough bead seating.

Match mounting and bead massage. Bead roller discs spin the tire on the rim, so the tire's stiffest point can be matched to the rim's low spot. This pairs with Hunter's Road Force® Elite balancer. A WalkAway™ bead massage sequence presses rollers against the tire walls to help seat the bead properly and reduce vibration.

Built-in training and camera. A touchscreen shows the operator's current step and monitors progress. The "Walk Me Through It" mode has 13 animations, which experienced operators can bypass. Twenty-five on-board videos cover basic operation, detailed operations, special procedures, and accessories. A standard camera monitors operations so managers can verify the work.

HunterNet® capable. The TCRH connects to HunterNet® through a wired internet connection.

Certification. The TCRH is listed to the UL201 Garage Equipment Standard by Intertek (ETL). It meets national electrical code requirements for electrically powered shop equipment.
