Winter Restock Checklist

If winter’s keeping you busy, your shelves might be feeling it.

Winter is working overtime this year, and so are many of our tire and auto shops. As workload increases, inventory tends to move faster than expected, and everyday essentials can run low before anyone notices. Staying ahead of reorders helps keep bays moving and prevents unnecessary downtime. Here’s a quick look at items many teams prioritize keeping on re-order during the winter rush.

Wheel Weights

If your shop is replacing and balancing more tires than average, consider ordering extra wheel weights in both clip-on and adhesive styles.

Chemicals & Lubricants

Freezing temperatures mean freezing air tools. Pick up extra Kilfrost anti-freeze air line and tool lubricant to keep your pneumatic tools performing in the frigid conditions. Don't forget bead sealer to fix or prevent leaks between the tire and rim, as cold weather is known to expose leaks from the bead area.

TPMS Valves & Sensors

Low temperatures bring low air pressure, which will be setting off TPMS sensors and bringing even more customers to your shop. Many of the vehicles that roll in will have TPMS sensors that are faulty or approaching the end of their lifespan. Shop all TPMS.

Interior Protection

With snow and sleet getting tracked inside on shoes, it’s more important than ever to make sure that you keep the inside of customers’ vehicles clean while you’re working on them. Shop all Interior Protection.

Safety Items

Protect your employees’ hands from the cold and exposure to grease and chemicals with nitrile work gloves, and don’t forget cleaning basics like rubber squeegees to soak up any standing water or slush before anyone can slip. Shop all safety.
